Facebook has become such a big part of our lives that we forget its power to regulate us. I am still, three years later, trying to figure out what "community standards" are. Apparently, a photo showing a woman in an office chair, demonstrating the chair's benefits for computer use, violated Facebook's "community standards", and didn't show up in my feed. Here is my post. You be the Judge.
" Sitting Down For Work? You're Doing It All Wrong.
Practicing law involves a lot of sitting at a desk. With the rise of technology, that time has expanded to include looking at a monitor and typing on a keyboard. All the lessons your mom taught you about sitting up straight; lessons reinforced in the military, are wrong, wrong, wrong. Get a decent chair like the one in the photo, and lean back in a relaxed fashion, while giving support to the lumbar region. Using a computer mouse from this position is a lot less stressful on your low back. So, relax, and work away. Just remember to get up often, and walk around. When you are a solo, you have to do this anyway. No one is bringing you coffee."
