Backup & Recovery | LegalFuel. Perhaps the best thing you can do for computer security in your practice is to do regular, comprehensive backups of your essential files. I do backups of my essential files to various media, and at various times. This is in addition to a complete image of my hard drive in case of catastrophic failure. When available, it is always a good idea to use software built in data backup, such as financial software that provides a method to backup data. There is no wrong way to do this. Just do it.

I used a combination of external HD and Mozy for backups for a long time. Then a lawyer who is also a TimeMatters tech support person started a backup business for law firms. Every night I get a backup of my designated folders and have access to a log of the process. I would be interested in your thoughts/review.

Looks interesting. However, I had a tough time figuring out the prices, and different services; I have had no problem doing my own backups; but, having a third party do it would be simpler.
