When I am asked why I am so enamored by parrots, I always cite their beauty, intelligence, and ability to bond with humans without losing their individuality. Their ability to mimic sounds is a bonus. I have mixed emotions about my several hours yesterday with this Scarlet Macaw and its fellow Macaws. I miss my companion, Savannah, but accept that we all die. I am ready to fall in love again, as I have with the beautiful Diane Bernadette Georges We all need love in our lives, don't we?
