Virtual Legal Conferences. Nikki Black makes the case for virtual conferences that use Avatars to replicate the connection experience of the real thing. Ever since I played around with Second Life a decade ago, I have been intrigued with the possibility of a virtual world populated with avatars that allowed humans to interact with other humans in a virtual space. I even created a virtual law library in which my avatar could walk up to a bookshelf and take down a virtual book. The technology wasn't ready, though, and the jury is out whether it is now. But, what happens when robots take over our Avatars?
