Quest 2 Update Brings 90 mhz And Screen Recording. It is impossible to describe VR until you have put a set of goggles on your head. We are conditioned to suspend our disbelief when watching movies and TV, as implausible scenarios are played out in front of us. Surround sound adds to the realness of the experience. But, immersive VR compounds it greatly, and you really can lose yourself in it. The first VR headsets were grainy and spotty, and it was difficult to compare the scenes to real life. However, with the new updates, and the November 2020 update to Quest 2 in particular, the view is truly comparable to your HD Tv; except that you are in the scene. While the use of controllers keeps me in the real world, once I am paddling down a dark river in an abandoned Soviet nuclear plant, trying to stay hidden in the reeds, I leave this Covid, politics, insane world behind for a few minutes, and transport myself to another world. Somehow, it seems safer to be paddling down a dark river with an automatic rifle in a canoe trying to avoid rifle carrying guards, than it does being in the real world. In any event, if you haven't purchased a Quest 2 headset, at the very least, try them out. I just wish they had been available when we started using jury simulations. I think they will be part of future trials, and will be used to bring Judges and juries into scenes like they never could have been before.
