Based on your post, I thought I would try to re-purpose an old iPod into a portable hard drive.

I am all in on Spotify so having a device that works with iTunes is of no musical value to me. It took 90 minutes to sync 32 gb of data. That is unacceptable to think about doing again.

I think I will re-format the iPod to wipe the data and take it to Staples for re-cycling. Will likely take my old iPod Nano, too.


Meant to add - life is too short to deal with antiquated tech. :)
