Although today is a somber day, as we remember the soldiers, sailors, and other military people who died in service of their country, it is also a big day for parrot lovers, World Parrot Day, a day on which we commemorate our favorite feathered species and support their care and spread awareness of the plight of parrots harmed by the wildlife trade and the destruction of habitat for wild birds.
