Cockatoos Are Dumpster Diving, And Now They're Learning From Each Other. I have always been asked about my fascination for parrots, and I have touted their beauty and intelligence. Evidence of their beauty is undeniable, as their feathers come in all colors of the rainbow. But, they are also highly intelligent, and there are ample evidences of that in their behavior. In Australia, the home of the Cockatoo species, they are teaching each to forage for food in plastic garbage cans, by lifting the covers off. Case closed.
