Death Is The Only Constant.
“Every day I learn something new.
Then, when tomorrow comes,
I have to learn something new all over again.
And, the thing I learned yesterday
doesn’t apply anymore,
and, since I don’t know or control
what will happen in the future,
it isn’t relevant to tomorrow.
So, if all we have is today,
why spend any of it learning
irrelevant stuff?”
He said,
on his deathbed,
expectantly,
as he pondered the confusion
we suffer at death,
and its similarity
to the confusion we have
upon being born.
