Gaming Keyboards And Touchpads. I learned to touch type one summer in high school. My mother made me take a typing class at a local high school, when I would rather have been playing baseball in the park. I was the only boy in the class, and that unexpected benefit caused me more happiness than learning to type. I learned fast, and was typing faster than most of the class within a couple of weeks. Little did I know then that the skill would bring benefits for over 50 years, beginning with the invention of the computer. Today's typing experts began as gamers, and the fast, efficient use of a keyboard is essential to gamers. It is no surprise then, that the best keyboards are mechanical, and have deep travel keys that create a satisfying click when used. I have used mechanical keyboards much of the time, from the first IBM clunky monsters to the Razer's that I use today. Laptop keyboards, and chiclet style keyboards are pretty unusable for a touch typist. If you are serious about creating legal documents, get a mechanical keyboard. It will be the best $100-150 you ever spent.
