The beauty of the creatures of nature that we love can sometimes blind us to the reality of the wild. Life, and death, are part of the same drama. While sometimes I bemoan the fact that we imprison our parrot friends in cages, it is also a fact that some of us rescue them from dangerous situations, and give them long, happy lives. This Falcon is doing what is required for survival, and the Grackle is part of the great Mandela.
