If you want to make a lot of money, solo practice probably isn't for you. Sure, some solos get a big case, and a lot of money; but, most solo practitioners make a decent living, and not much more. We live month to month, just like most people, and squeak by. Quality of life has more to do with choices than it does with resources, in a society that provides so much to all of us. But, in the end, we tend to consume according to our means, no matter how much we earn. Our desires tend to expand to the resources available to us. So, given that, and given that we live in a privileged society, we have the freedom to choose our lives in accordance with the purpose we want. Freedom is the key element. If your basic needs are met, you have the freedom to choose the intangible benefits of life. What will you choose? It really doesn't have anything to do with how much money you make. It has more to do with what you do with what you have.
