If, as the Stoics say, life is about the choices we make, and our choices and reactions to external events is the only thing we truly control, then why would I cede that choice to a boss, or manager, or any other bureaucrat? Why, a sane person wouldn't, of course. Do you want your law practice to be about some other person telling you where to be when you practice law? Or, do you want to be the one making that decision? Your call.
