Google Maps Gets A Makeover. Sometimes I love it when Google redesigns an app I use all the time. Sometimes I hate it. I think I like the changes coming to Google Maps. I confess to being a card carrying member of the Googleverse; although I try to use other apps when I can, so as not to be completely dependent on Google developers. For instance, I use Chat GPT for most generative A.I. tasks. But, I still rely on Google Maps for my directions, and use it every day. I even use it when I know where I am going, because I can estimate time of arrival, spot traffic delays ahead of time, and find nearby gas, restaurants, etc. Check out this Tom's Guide article to come to your own opinion.
