Independence Day - Would You Have Signed? Every year, Michael Wade revisits his excellent post about the Declaration of Independence. The founding fathers who signed the document branded themselves as traitors in the eyes of the British Monarchy. You literally bet your future when you signed the document, and many of the signers actually lost their lives and fortunes.
