Android To Have A Speed Boost. Smartphones have come a long way, and the best of them now have silky smooth speeds that feel instantaneous. But, an increase in Page size (computer speak for how much data the OS handles in increments) from 4 KB to 16 KB promises a feels like ten percent speed boost for most Android apps. It is hard to describe speed in page rendering; except to say that you will "feel" it before you can measure it. Technology marches on, and we are just along for the ride.
