Splay Presentation External Popup Monitor/Projector. I stopped getting up early on Black Friday some years ago, when I realized that I was contributing to the chaos, and was standing in long lines in freezing weather (in Florida, we call that 50 degrees or cooler), waiting to fight other humans for the right to buy something. These days, I do what I do all the time. I navigate the Internet, and read my emails, in order to find that electronic device or gadget that I can't live without. As many of you know, I have been figuring out ways to travel and practice law at the same time, and have even written a book about RV travel and remote lawyering. RV Lawyer - Remote Lawyering. For some time, I have travelled in the RV with a large monitor (32 inches), which I position on the RV desk, and use with my notebook computer. However, keeping it stable when driving, and having it take up a lot of space is a problem. Some time ago, I discovered the Splay pop up screen, which also doubles as a short throw projector, but is pricey at $1,299. Then, yesterday I discovered that it is on sale this Black Friday for a huge $300 discount. At $999, it is still pricey; but, I don't have that much longer to live ( I am pretty old), and I splurged, and ordered one. So, if anyone can use a 32 inch monitor, let me know, and you can help me defray the cost of my latest love child. The Splay is really cool. It folds up into a small package that can fit in a briefcase, and has a 4 hour run time battery. I like that it can be used as a short throw projector for presentations as well as sit on a desk as an HD monitor. Compute on, rocker.
