Someday, probably after the FutureLawyer isn't here anymore, a lawyer will walk into a courtoom wearing a wrist device and a pair of SmartGlasses that connect her to the Internet and everything else. With a flick of the wrist, she will access her files, do legal research, enter a timeslip, and check out her email and messages. The heads up display in her Smartglasses will allow her to concentrate on the argument. Sometime, in the future farther away, the wrist device will be located in the Smartglasses themselves. I think I was wrong to assume that humans and machines would be physically connected via implants. Yes, some implants will be used for medical purposes, as they are now; but, I think that future computing devices will be wearables that can be removed or worn at the user's choice. Brave new world.
