Android Auto without a touch screen is weird, but I kinda dig it | Android Central. I am used to modern auto screen interfaces that are controlled with a dial on the console, or buttons on the steering wheel, or both. But, when I installed a high end system on my 1995 Mitsubishi 3000 GT, it was obviously a touch screen device. Connecting to my phone with a USB interface, Android Auto magically appeared on the screen; but, there was no button on the console to control it. I had to reach over and push the big buttons to switch between apps, or take a phone call. This isn't distracting enough to be dangerous; but, it is certainly less convenient than having a dedicated console button. So, I have both, and use them all the time; but, I prefer modern console controlled interfaces. How about you?
