Google News gets facelift that focuses on showing facts - CNET. The first place I go for news in the morning is the Google News page. It is generally unbiased, and gives the current news from all viewpoints. Now, its redesign is going back to the roots of web browsing. As Joe Friday would say: "Just the facts, ma'am". A quick glance gives the news in a serial interface that is clean and uncluttered, and can be changed to Local, International, and so forth with a Tab click. You can even get Fact Checked stories to help avoid Fake News, or whatever lying on the Internet is being called these days. The new interface takes a little getting used to; but, this is still, IMHO, the best way to quickly get up to speed on what is happening in your world and your neighborhood.
