I prefer to be called "eccentric". But, call me mad or crazy, if you must. After fifty years of law practice, and more than my share of sadness, failure, disappointments, triumphs, tragedy, and death, I figured out that Robin Williams was right. We don't get a lot of time to have fun in our lives. Why so serious? Why depressed? Why sad? You will have plenty of time to be sad when you're dead. Eternity, perhaps, if you believe in that sort of thing. For me and mine, I have decided to embrace the crazy. I will have parrots in my waiting room, an RV in the parking lot, a smile on my face when confronting events, an office that looks more like a museum than a place of business, and no partners, employees, sourpusses, angry people, toxic people, or nasty attitudes. Get over it.
